Care After School accepts applications for all positions, however, currently Care After School has openings for Assistant Site Directors, Recreation Leaders and Recreation Leaders - High School for the 2022.23 school year. Interviewing now for positions that begin in early August.

Site Director
The Site Director is the on-site supervisor. Applicants should have a degree in a child-related field and have a minimum of 2 years experience with school age children. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, coordinating, and implementing an on-going program of group activities that contribute to the care, growth and development of school age children
- Insuring positive parent contact and communication
- Coordinating the program with the school site
- Performing the administrative functions of the program
- Supervising, training and evaluating staff on site
- Planning, organizing, and conducting, activities, special events and field trips
- Developing and distributing a monthly calendar of events
- Managing the monthly discretionary fund
Hours: 30 hours per week on site 1:45 - 6:00 PM on school days
Salary: $28,080 per year
Assistant Site Director
Applicants for the Assistant Site Director position should have college course work in a child-related field, or a high school diploma plus 2 years experience with school age children. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the daily program
- Assisting in providing leadership and guidance to program staff
- Insuring a positive working relationship with parents and the school site
- Assisting in the administrative functions of the program
- Serving as supervisor on-site in the absence of the Site Director
- Planning, purchasing, and preparing items necessary to provide the daily snack
- Managing the monthly snack fund
- Attending workshops and trainings to continually enhance program growth
- Planning, organizing, and conducting, activities, and special events
Hours: on site 2:00 - 6:00 PM plus 1 hour per school day paid for outside preparation
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Recreation Leader
Applicants for the Recreation Leader position should have a high school diploma and experience with school age children, possibly through camp counseling, life-guarding, field experience, or babysitting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the daily program
- Maintaining regular and positive communication with parents
- Assisting in the administrative functions of the program
- Planning, organizing, and conducting activities and special events
Hours: 2:00 - 6:00 PM on school days
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Recreation Leader - High School
Applicants for the Recreation Leader - High School position should be juniors or seniors and have experience with school age children, possibly through camp counseling, life-guarding, tutoring, or babysitting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the implementation of the daily program
- Organizing and conducting activities
Hours: 2:30 - 6:00 PM on school days
Salary: $13.00 per hour
